ProcessStep One:
We began this problem through a mathematical modeling lens, defining the problem and identifying variables we'd need to figure out over the next several weeks and simplifying the problem by making assumptions. A list of these can be found on the right. Step Two: Next, we tried to build a scale-model of the problem using hot glue and popsicle sticks (shown above). Air Time:

Self-Assessment
The Circus Act Problem has been something completely different than what we have done in math before. I feel I have stepped up to get the work done and have done my best to understand the equations and complexity behind all the different parts. When I understand the problem I am not afraid to help others succeed. Because of this I deserve an A- for this project.
Problem Evaluation
I enjoyed starting off the problem with building an actual ferris wheel. It is really helpful having a visual behind the math. The problem really pushed my thinking since there are so many different ways to get the answer. I appreciated how slow we were moving at times to make sure everyone was on the same page and understood everything.
